Can’t Miss Spring Ski Events in North Conway

Springtime is just around the corner, but that doesn’t mean the ski season is over yet. Check out these fun-filled North Conway spring ski events happening this year!

Bretton Woods Beach Party

Join Bretton Woods on Saturday, March 28th for their 33rd annual Beach Party! Prepare for a day full of spring skiing, live music, great food, and beach-themed activities. The day starts at 8 AM with the Luau Look Out! Scavenger Hunt. Try and seek the 15 luau-themed miniatures hidden throughout the lodge. The Luau Lunch will be held from 11-12 PM on the Lower Patio of the Base Lodge, where you’ll grab a bite before heading over to the Slush Pool Pre-Party. The day’s main event is the Annual Beach Party Slush Pool! Skiers and snowboarders alike don their best beach attire (or whichever costume they choose!) and attempt to make it across the slush pool without getting soaked. A panel of special guest judges will be commentating on and judging each run. Kids love the Rubber Ducky Race at the end of the slush pool, where their ducks will “race” out of the draining pool. Adults, finish the day at the Adult Apres Party with live music by Crush: A Dave Matthews Tribute band. This is a can’t-miss spring tradition! Click here for more information.

Attitash Pond Skim

Come to North Conway to celebrate the Attitash Pond Skim, held on Saturday, April 4th from 12-1 PM. Costumed skiers and snowboarders attempt to travel down the slope and across the pond of icy cold water without taking a major spill. This beloved tradition is free to those 48” or taller, and is hilarious for spectators and participants alike. No ski poles are allowed, and neither are fins on skis or snowboards. Snorkels, however, are suggested. Register from 8:30-11 AM at Attitash Guest Services. Click here for more information.

Cranmore’s Spring Splash Bash

Test your skiing and snowboarding abilities at the Cranmore Splash Bash. Cranmore’s man-made pond is full of icy water at the base of the North Slope, and is a freezing place to end your pond-skim attempt. Costumes are encouraged for participants, and are arguably one of the best parts of the day. Register inside the main base lodge from 9-11 AM, ages 18 and under require a parent or guardian’s completion of a waiver. The Splash starts at noon, don’t be late! (Cranmore’s website has a crucial reminder for participants…don’t forget a dry change of clothes!). Click here for more information.

King Pine Pond Skim

Celebrate the final day of the ski season at King Pine with Pond Skimming! Costumes are encouraged and celebrated, and have ranged from Hawaiian shirts to vintage one-piece ski suits!  Register at the concierge desk in the Fireplace Room between 11-12:30 PM. The event begins at 1 PM. Party on! Click here for more information.
