Just because the ski season is winding down, it doesn’t mean there aren’t a ton of fun spring activities to enjoy! Keep reading to learn about 5 April events happening in North Conway this spring!
Skiing in Tuckerman Ravine
Bold and experienced skiers and snowboarders flock to Tuckerman Ravine during April and May for some of the best backcountry skiing on the east coast. Tuckerman Ravine is a glacial cirque that requires planning and forethought to master, so proper equipment and safety awareness is key, especially with regard to avalanches. Park at the Pinkham Notch Visitor’s Center on Route 16, and stop in for the latest weather conditions. Skiers will have to hike to the top of the ravine to ski back down, no lifts here! Save time on the way back to the car by skiing the Sherburne Ski Trail which deposits you right back to the Pinkham Notch Visitor’s Center parking lot. Remember to always be aware of your surroundings and the conditions, and have fun! Click here for more information.
