North Conway nightlife is not to be missed! Here are our top suggestions for North Conway bars to visit during your stay.
The Moat is located in Intervale, and features a great daytime view of the mountains. They brew their beer on-site, and a glass wall to your right as you enter the building offers a view of some of their brewing tanks. The bar itself is intimate and warmly lit. Your fellow patrons will be climbers, hikers, and outdoor enthusiasts of all stripes, so you’re sure to have an interesting conversation. Their Imperial Stout is a thick, rich, and delicious evening treat. They also brew an IPA and a Double IPA that are very worth trying. There is a rotating seasonal beer on tap too. Buy a flute of beers and try everything they have available!
Delaney’s is a favorite of North Conway locals. The bar is lively and tends to be as busy, which makes for fun. The bar offers a selection of beers, including local brews as well as domestics and internationals. It is very much a sports bar, decked out with memorabilia and TVs showing every New England sport. Delaney’s also serves delicious homemade pizza and tasty sushi!
Unlike the rest of the North Conway bars on this list, this is an afternoon affair. The “tasting room”, as they call it, is a large, expansive room attached to the brewery itself. The selection is limited to Tuckerman’s home-brewed beers. These beers are a valley favorite. The Pale Ale is their classic offering, and their Headwall Ale and Rockpile IPA are also fantastic. Pick up a six pack for your float on the Saco! The brewery hosts events on a regular basis, including live music and festivals. Check out their upcoming events here!
“The Parka” is another hot spot for locals. Much like the Moat, you’ll be surrounded by mountain bikers and climbers. They offer a full selection of beers, bottled and on tap, as well as cocktails and wine. The atmosphere is very unique and lively, and there are frequent events held in the bar. Monday night is Open Mic night, where you can see anything from music to comedy. Tuesday night is Bingo! Weekend nights feature live local musical acts. Check out the full list of events here.
May Kelly’s is an Irish pub that feels as authentic as anything you’d find in Dublin. Try the delicious Shepard’s Pie and fill up with a Guinness! The pub also offers a range of Irish Whiskeys to sample. The weekly highlight is Seisun (Irish for Session) on Sunday afternoons. Traditional Irish musicians gather to play live, free traditional music. Be sure to make time to check it out!
One of the newest arrivals to the North Conway bar scene is Cigar Shenanigans. It opened about a year ago and offers a wide selection of cigars and cocktails. Stop by and give it a try!
