With a fresh snowfall, ski season is in full swing in North Conway. Make the most of the fresh powder with a trip to Wildcat Mountain! Read on to find out all of the great reasons to grab the family, pack up the car, and head out for a Wildcat adventure.
Wildcat is a mountain with a view! Located in Pinkham Notch in the White Mountain Forest, the mountain offers 2,100 vertical feet of skiing and snowboarding. With 220 ski-able acres and 80 acres of glade skiing, Wildcat’s 48 trails offer something for everyone. Five total lifts whisk you to the top of the mountain and the Wildcat Express Quad can do it in 7 minutes! 20 minutes down the road is Attitash Mountain, Wildcat’s sister resort, and your lift ticket is valid there, too! You can visit both mountains during the same day, using the same lift ticket.
All Levels Welcome!
Wildcat is home to the longest green (beginner) trail in New Hampshire, Polecat. The mountain’s trails break down to 20% beginner, 47% intermediate, and 33% expert trails, and there is sure to be a trail to suit any ability level. Since they’ve partnered with AbilityPLUS, Wildcat offers adaptive ski programs for individuals with physical or mental disabilities. Truly something for everyone.
School is in Session
Is your little one still learning to ski, or maybe you want a refresher on your skills? Sign up for Ski School! From the Kitten Club Nursery program (6-18 months), to programs for adults, it’s never too late to learn at Wildcat. Both day and seasonal programs are offered. Private lessons are available for those who wish to keep their wipeouts…well, private.
Edges feeling dull? Get your gear tuned, sharpened, waxed, adjusted, you name it, at Wildcat’s Tune & Repair shop. Keeping your equipment in good shape is key for an enjoyable day on the mountain, and Wildcat makes it easy. Also, rentals are offered for those who don’t own their own equipment, with full or half-day options. Poles and helmets are available to rent, too! Click here for tuning and rental rates.
Après Ski at Wildcat Pub
There are two dining options at Wildcat Mountain, the Wildcat Cafeteria and Wildcat Pub. The Cafeteria is a grab-and-go option, perfect for those who want to shovel in some food and head back to the lift. If you’re looking to take the weight off and enjoy a longer meal and drink, check out the Wildcat Pub upstairs. Après ski, the Pub has live music and entertainment on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the season. Click here to see the entertainment lineup.
The Superbowl is coming up, and Wildcat (and Attitash) are offering a game day special of $49 lift tickets. Or, visit on St. Patrick’s day (March 17th) and get lift ticket deals, green outfits, and green beer at the Pub! Sunday, March 22nd is Youth day, and kids ages 7-17 can score lift tickets for only $39, while kids under 6 ski free. Don’t miss out! Most importantly, the highlight of the season is the Wildcat Pond Skim on April 18th. The Pond Skim is a hoot for both competitors and spectators, and costumes are encouraged!
