Summer Activities at North Conway Ski Resorts

North Conway’s ski areas draw major crowds in the winter. They’re known for excellent skiing and grooming, but as time goes on, the resorts have developed into year-round destinations for fun. There’s no need to wait for winter to visit the slopes! Here are fun summer activities at North Conway ski resorts!

Ziplines

One of the most exhilarating summer activities at North Conway ski resorts is the ziplines. These are not your backyard ziplines – they tower hundreds of feet in the air and fly thousands of feet. You’ll look down over the canopy of trees as you fly past, and you won’t believe the speeds you reach. Take a ride at Cranmore on the Soaring Eagle, where you’ll have the luxury of sitting down as you glide. At Attitash, hang on tight – and you can ride the zipline right next to a buddy! Feel like an even wilder ride? Try the ziprider at Wildcat, where you can zip with up to 3 others at the same time! Book a stay with Pinkham Vacation Rentals for discounted pricing on summer activities at Attitash and Wildcat!

Mountain Coasters

The mountain coasters are some of the coolest roller coasters you’re ever going to see. These coasters blast right down the side of the ski hill, leading to exciting twists and turns paired with amazing views. Cranmore’s coaster puts you in control and allows you to control your speed; petal to the metal or nice and easy. Attitash is similar, with a two-seater car like Cranmore’s where you can floor it and fly down the hill or take a more gradual ride if you prefer. Attitash also has the infamous alpine slide, a wilder ride that has built up quite a reputation over the years.

Waterslides

There’s no better way to cool off than to take slide down the mountain. Attitash features a two slides: the sidewinder and the aquaboggin. Feel like tubing? There’s a summer course with sprinklers to keep you cool as you glide down the hill. It’s just like tubing in the winter, only you’ll WANT to get wet this time!

Hiking and Biking

Another way to enjoy the slopes in the summer is to walk or bike them! Cannon Mountain in Franconia Notch has a trail the winds around the back of the resort. It also has an observation deck at the peak so that you can gaze down into the Notch below, and across at Mt. Washington. Similarly, Wildcat is a 4,000 footer with a great (but challenging) hiking trail. Alternatively, walk right up Mt. Cranmore on the service road or from neighboring Black Cap! Buy a lift ticket to Attitash and you can bring your bike along with you for some excellent downhill!

Disc Golf

Golf usually requires hundreds of dollars of equipment and leads to a ton of frustration for new players. However, most people can throw a frisbee! That’s where disc golf comes in. Check out the course at Wildcat, which also includes a rental of 3 discs (a driver, mid-range, and putter). Take a ride up the scenic gondola while you’re there for some of the best views of the East side of Mt. Washington!

Aerial Adventure Parks and Canopy Tours

Cranmore features an awesome ropes course for kids, where you’ll strap into a harness and traverse obstacles high up in the trees. Drive through Crawford Notch up to Bretton Woods for a canopy tour. This exciting adventure takes you across 9 ziplines, over wooden bridges, and even has you rappelling down the rock! Several of the mountains also feature climbing walls, giant swings, bungie trampolines, and all kinds of other awesome attractions!
